If you are planning on travelling distance to attractions, we would recommend that you contact the venues directly in advance to avoid disappointment.

If you, or any of your party have a new persistant cough, or develop a fever of 38C, we would instead advise you to use the NHS's dedicated website for professional advice.

Jedburgh Castle Jail and Museum

Built as a Howard reform prison in 1823, this impressive building is the only existing example of its kind in Scotland. The museum has a display of items relating to 19th century prison life and collections relating to the history of the Royal Burgh of Jedburgh.
This is an impressive building with fine views across the town. Featured recently on the television programme ‘Most Haunted’, the Jail is a popular venue for overnight organised visits. It is also a licensed wedding and civil ceremony venue. There is a children’s activity area, audio tour, children’s guide and audio-visual display on the ground floor for wheelchair users.
